Our Ag department offers a variety of classes that provide amazing learning opportunities for students while built into the Agriculture Education Three-Ring Model. The core areas include:

Meet our Monache High School Agriculture Department Advisors:
Ms. Bennett has been an agricultural teacher at Moanche High School for seven years and she is happy to see students grow in and out of the classroom. Ms. Bennett has worked to provide our members with successful resources and speaking skills. She has been a huge part of growing the Horticulture Unit on the farm. She teaches Ag Earth and Space, Ornamental Horticulture, and Floral Design.

Mr. Corbett has been an agricultural instructor at Monache High School for more than 14 years. Mr. Corbett serves as Department Chair, and one of our shop teachers. Mr. Corbett strives to have over 15 large projects sent to both Porterville and Tulare County Fair and loves seeing his students successful with their hands-on projects. Mr. Corbett teaches Ag Mechanics 2, Ag Mechanics 3/4, and Ag Economics and Government.

Mr. Roche is ending his third year as an agricultural teacher at Monache High School, but has been teaching a total of six years. Mr. Roche is always willing to help and enjoys being active with the students at competitions. Mr. Roche has been instrumental in helping the Ag Mechanics 2 students complete BBQ projects that all make it to Porterville Fair. He teaches Farm Management, Ag Mechanics 1, and Ag Mechanics 2.

Mrs. Spaulding is ending her sixth year of teaching agriculture at Monache High School, but has been teaching for much longer than that! Mrs. Spaulding enjoys taking hands-on experiences and making them into an in-depth lesson on agriculture. She has made a huge difference in Monache FFA's State Degree recipients and student's livestock experiences. Mrs. Spaulding teaches Ag Biology, Animal Science, and Vet Science.
